Jess and I went to Utah to visit his fam. It was fun and sort of relaxing. His family is very adventurous. The first day there, we went mountain biking on a scary trail. It was fun, don't get me wrong, but my body has adjusted to the intake of smog and not crisp, high altitude air. Lets just say I couldn't breath after about 30 seconds. The next day we went on a Rock Climbing trip and after about 30 feet in the air I had to be brought down. I am getting old. There were 7 year old kids braver than me who passed me up in about a minute. The next day we went on another mountain biking trip and this time the lack of oxygen almost made Zack(Jess's younger brother) and I barf and blackout. Luckily that didn't happen. It was a 17 mile bike ride and 10 miles felt like it was uphill. The down hill part was so sketchy with boulders and tree roots sticking out everywhere and then came the lightening storm. Finally on the last day there, Jess and I decided to take out the road bikes and peddle against 30 MPH winds. All I keep thinking is "I am burning calories!" And that is what motivated me.
I did get the new Harry Potter book and I got to go to the movie theater 2 times which is a big deal for me since I only go about 2 times a year.
